From the HOA President

We could use a little help from our friends

I started as the president of the HOA in 2020. I volunteered because I know how important HOA's can be for a neighborhood and our current officers were ready to pass the reigns and let someone else take over.

In order to keep the HOA we must have a minimum 3 officers. President, Secretary and Treasurer are the official roles and each one comes with its own set of duties

As president I am responsible for getting and mainitaining the subdivisions contracts. This includes but not limited to landscaping, insurance for common grounds, conducting the yearly meetings and handling any complaints or requests from residents.

I work with our property management company DNI to review all the documents that need to be signed and filed with the state along with any other requests or issues that may occur.

We use DNI properties to do our accounting and book keeping. They take care of our dues, filings, income tax returns, collections and liens.

The treasurers duties include making our yearly budget and reviewing end of month bank statements sent to us from DNI. Along with keeping money in the reserves and making sure we are stay on budget.

Right now we are in need of a Secretary.

I need help with mailing out our meeting minutes and yearly newsletter. The secretary will also take meeting minutes and make sure we stay on time and on topic in our meetings

If you would like to know more about the functions of the HOA or would like to volunteer please contact us.

Top concerns of the neighborhood

Here are the top 3 complaints from our residents

We ask that everyone be mindful and respectful.

Repeat offenders will leave the HOA with no choice but to get the proper authorities involved.

1

Animals without leashes

The HOA has received numerous complaints of dogs being outside without being leashed or in an enclosed yard or electric fenced yard.

Please be aware that this is a safety concern for everyone. We wouldn't want anyones animal to get hurt and we want our residents to feel safe to walk in their own neighborhood.

Please secure your pets. violation of this ordinance could lead to a citation from the city,

Below is the link the City of OFallon Animal Control and the municapal ordinances.

2

Blocked Sidewalks

Many residents have sidewalks that run through their driveways. Please be advised that per the city of Ofallon, it is a violation to park on the sidewalk even if it goes through your driveway. Blocking the sidewalk is a safety issue. The HOA has received multiple complaints from residents regarding this so we ask that you please make every effort to keep the sidewalks clear for our other residents.

Please note that the city of O'Fallon has an ordinance regarding this. Failure to comply could lead to a citation from the city.

Speeding

The posted speed limit in Brandywine estates is 25 mph.

Please make sure to slow your speed in the neighborhood.

The HOA has put a "children at play" sign at the entrance to help remind drivers to slow it down. We are open to suggestions on how to combat speeding. Please contact the HOA if you have any suggestions.
